Each week I’ll post several pics of thrift store items that I’ve recently sold on eBay, as well as share with you the profits that I’ve made for that item.
This post thread has quickly become my favorite and hopefully you’re starting to get some ideas of what brands and items to look for at your own thrift stores.
Overcoming The Post-Holiday Sales Slump
You gotta love the Holidays – everyone’s in a happier mood (well, almost everyone) and the purse-strings are a little looser as everyone scrambles around looking for that perfect gift for their friends and family. Then – just like that – Christmas is over, the New Year becomes older and older, and reality starts to set in as the bills start arriving. Yup, unfortunately this is the time of year where I usually start to see a dip in sales activity as buyers start to recover from their holiday spending. Thrift stores are also winding down their Christmas specials and getting rid of any promotions that they once had (Savers for example just ended their 30% off promo).
Although this is to be expected, I’m trying my best to avoid any sort of slump in my sales. I’m continuing my regular visits to the thrift stores and spending even more time in there looking through items. It means more work but that’s ok because my efforts have been rewarded with some great sales.
